A Time For Support and Appreciation

Dear families,

We are writing to you on behalf of Nayatt School.  At a time of loss and sadness, our PTO has shown us compassion, understanding, and support.

When we wanted to help our Sowams colleagues by preparing a lunch for the staff, our PTO stepped in and said, “We will take care of that.”

When they heard of our own staff getting together outside of school to come together, connect and heal our community through a shared meal, our PTO stepped in and said, “We will take care of that.”

When we hosted Open House for families, and the last of the cars left the parking lot around 9:00 pm, our PTO greeted us the next morning with coffee, and breakfast items that helped us revive our energy from the long day before, and we felt them saying, “We will take care of you.”

It’s not about the food.  It’s not about money spent.  It is so much more.

It’s about feeling supported and respected not only as employees, but as humans. We live in a time where the teaching profession is not always respected, but yet we work together with teachers and parents that share thoughts, feelings, and inspirations for the little people we work with everyday - our students, their children.

We do our jobs, knowing our parents have our backs and believe that what we are doing is the best for their children.  This partnership is one that inspires us to be better every day for the future of our students and for the wellness of our families.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank our Nayatt PTO and all the parents who are with us as we muddle through “the trenches everyday” to enable our students’ successes, both academically, but more importantly, emotionally.

Sincerely,

The Appreciative Staff at Nayatt School
