Week Of: October 24, 2022
Important Info:
Although we understand there are situations when a student is not feeling well and must stay home, we do want to remind families that attendance matters. Students have been in school for 32 days as of today. If they have missed 3 or more days at this point, they have missed more than 10% of the school year. Monthly attendance reports will be run through and families will receive an update as needed. Thank you for your support!
October Lunch Menu - Please remember that when you send lunch payment in, it needs to be in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Please do not send loose money in. Thank you!
This Week:
Our canned good food drive continues. Please consider donating a non-perishable food item. Some of these items will be shared with TAPIN, with our own families in need or with other local schools in Rhode Island.
Upcoming Events:
Flu Clinic (Flu Clinic 2022 Flier)
Other Information:
As you know, one of our students has recently been diagnosed with ALD, Adrenoleukodystrophy. His family would like to share this information with the community to bring awareness and hopefully prevent future cases. If early warning signs are detected, this may allow for immediate treatment to slow the disease progression. Fortunately, Rhode Island now has the newborn blood screen for this disease, which means children born in RI after 10/01/2018 are able to be screened. They thank you for your support!
What is adrenoleukodystrophy?
