Nayatt News Update 12.31.2020
Empowering All Students to Excel
Happy 2021 to all of the Nayatt students, staff, and families! We still have some hurdles to overcome in the upcoming months, but we’ve got this! We have done such a great job as a community, let’s keep it up so we can transition to safer and happier times in 2021.
Return to School Update:
January 4-8 will be distance learning days for all students and staff. This will allow us an opportunity to ensure we are sufficiently staffed for our return to in-person learning. The majority of districts across the state will be distance learning during the week of January 4-8. This week will also allow the number of student and staff quarantines to slow down prior to re-entry.
● On January 11, all schools will resume in-person learning models
Condensed Arrival Times:
As we move into the cold weather months, it is not safe for the staff to be outside for longer than 20 minutes, but we are working to maintain staggered arrival. Please follow the updated times:
7:40-7:45 AM-Bus drop off
7:50-8:00 AM-Car drop offs A-K
8:00-8:10 AM-Car drop-offs L-Z
7:45-8:10 AM-Walkers
COVID Positive Cases and Quarantines:
Please continue to inform me of positive cases of students at Nayatt and their families so we can make a plan for their safe return.
RIDOH requires the principals to gather the positive test results and to complete a variety of paperwork.
Thank you for all of your help with this process.
