Dear BPS Staff and Families,
Thank you for a wonderful start to the 2024-2025 school year. It has been my pleasure over the past week to welcome everyone to (and back to) our buildings after summer break! If this week is any indication, our classrooms are sure to be filled with energy, curiosity, and excitement this school year.
As we end the second week of school, I want to recognize and thank our dedicated staff who work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels a sense of belonging and support. Your commitment to ensuring your classrooms and our schools are a safe and supportive place for our students empowers each of our students to not only excel but thrive.
I also want to express my gratitude to our community and BPS families for your patience and understanding as we worked through the inevitable first-week kinks of the new school year. We are grateful for your trust in and support of our district and look forward to continuing to build our family-community-school relationship as partners in your child’s educational journey.
Across the district, as we settle into familiar school routines, I hope that we continue to foster the same sense of wonder and excitement we have felt this week throughout the 2024-2025 school year. I believe that we can carry this spirit and momentum forward from Day 1 to Day 180 so that each day feels like the first day of school - full of possibility, discovery, and potential.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! I, like you, have high hopes and expectations for the school year and believe that the best is yet to come for our students, staff, and community.
Thank you,
Rob
